On Shrinking
Using the random blog finder at the top of the blog, I stumbled across this site, Shrinking, that displays pictures of someone who seems to have had one of those stomach-staple surgeries. It's pretty impressive.

Oh, I wouldn't attest to the veracity of the pictures or the person. But, there seems to a large enough amount of contextual pictures to suggest that this isn't some malicious type, looking to decieve to many folks. Too many kids and too many friendly compliments directed towards that guy. But, you're right, 3.5 months seems like an awfully short amount of time to lose more than 100 pounds, even when you only have 1/10 of your stomach.
