On Martha

After serving five months in a West Virginian minimum-security prison, Martha Stewart returns to her home and work, that unique place of hers that might be the most invaded/invading lifeworld.

Given that much of Martha Stewart talk revolves around Martha's image and that prior to her trial and imprisonment there always seemed to be a tension between the lifestyle-dame and the kitch-bitch, I wonder what persona Ms. Stewart will now adapt. Will she retain the former stern smiles of the late nineties and early oughts, rejecting an extreme homemakover? Or will she fully embrace her entrepreneurial spirit and enact a feminine Trump-ness? Or, will she live out publicly and permanently a life-affirmed and affirming Martha?
